No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in the browser. There is no analytics, no advertising, no external scripts, and no third-party embeds. The fonts Manrope and Inter are files on the same server as the page.

Hosting

The pages run on a server Björn Ufer rents from Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner. The pages are served by the Caddy web server. Caddy is configured without access logging, so this website does not store access logs that contain IP addresses. TLS certificates come from Let's Encrypt.

Beta signup

When you submit the form, the server stores the email address, the first name if you give one, whether you have an Android phone, the language of the page, the version of the consent text, and the time. That sits in a SQLite database on the Hetzner server. IP addresses are not stored. Nothing is passed to a newsletter service or any other third party.

The purpose is the invitation to the beta, including the two steps by email (join a Google Group, then opt in through a Play link), and the note when Straight launches on the Play Store. The legal basis is your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time, for example by writing to hallo@straight-app.com. It is deleted when you ask, and at the latest three months after the Play Store launch.

When we write to you, the email comes from hallo@straight-app.com. That mailbox is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany.

Recipients

Hetzner Online GmbH operates the server, and with it the signup database, for Björn Ufer. The signup is not passed to any other service. Emails to you are sent by Björn from the mailbox at IONOS SE. No newsletter service is connected. There is no visitor data from an access log, because none is written.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian data protection authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA). Requests: hallo@straight-app.com.

The website is not directed at children under 16.

The app

The Android app Straight has no internet permission and does not contact this website. What the app does on the device is described in the app privacy policy.
